Hand Painted Mexican Pit Bull Keepsake Egg, Aztec Dia de los Muertos Tile, Numbered
A hand painted keepsake egg that opens, with a two-sided Aztec and Dia de los Muertos pit bull tile waiting inside.
I designed and printed this egg myself, then painted it by hand in the red, white, and green of the Mexican flag. Talavera-style florals, crossed maracas, and a jalapeño are engraved into the shell and picked out by hand, and a small sombrero sits off center on the crown. Every mark on this egg was put there on purpose.
What opens up inside
The egg twists apart at the middle with a quarter turn. Inside you'll find:
• A gold pit bull tile, engraved on both faces. One side carries Aztec-inspired geometric symbols. Flip it over and it's a Dia de los Muertos design, all flowers and folk detail. Two pieces of art in one tile.
• A rolled scroll with a pit bull fact written specifically for this design. Every egg in the series has its own.
• Your egg's unique sequence number, so you know exactly which one is yours.
The gold tripod stand pictured is included, not sold separately. I designed it to match, with a stepped collar and three fluted legs, so the egg has somewhere to live the moment you unbox it.
This is the sixth design in my numbered egg series, and the first one to come from my Mexican heritage perspective.

Care
Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep out of direct sun and away from heat sources such as a car dashboard or a sunny windowsill. Decorative object, not a toy, and not food safe.
Each egg is painted one at a time by hand, so small variations between eggs are part of the work rather than a flaw.
